Renewable Energy project calling for bid process
The Project for Renewable Energy in Rural Markets (PERMER in Spanish), is calling for a bid process starting on July 5, 2016, for the submission of tenders to supply and install approximately 6,500 photovoltaic solar equipment and internal installations in rural households on the provinces of Catamarca, Chaco, Entre Rios, La Pampa, Salta and Neuquen. The bid conditions consist of 13 lots that will benefit about 26 thousand users.
Tender submission deadline is August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM, and starting tenders opening the same day at 11:30 AM.
PERMER is a rural electrification project using mainly renewable photovoltaic generation and carried out by the Argentine Ministry of Energy and Mining, through a specially designated coordination unit for this purpose. The project is designed to meet the needs of electricity supply to rural areas and to population located in remote areas away of urban centers and / or with difficult access, where it is not feasible through conventional energy sources (network), and the provision of hot water, cooking and heating in public establishments of the same characteristics. PERMER is aimed to scattered homes and businesses rural public services. The program involves the purchase and installation of generation systems to housing and / or local public facilities, including internal installations and provision of lamps for one-time.
It is important to mention that the first stage of project PERMER was concluded in 2012 and made possible the electrification of approximately 1,800 schools, 350 public services facilities and 27,000 homes. This second phase aims to continue the electrification and thus achieve universal access to energy.
